Past contracts

Author Services: Focus Groups

A major academic publisher were interested in understanding more about its authors and the services they require in order to publish their research. I was contracted  to carry out some qualitative research with authors and early career researchers, in the form of focus groups.  These were designed and moderated by myself and then followed up with a summary of key findings and recommendations.  The design was also rolled out for focus groups held in the US and China.

New Product Launch: Depth Interviews

An international major university press carrying out research into the launch of new online products, contracted me to carry out telephone interviews with librarians and researchers. Interview findings were then analysed and reported with my recommendations.

Survey Analysis and Reporting for The Lever Initiative

The Lever Initiative is investigating the need for a new OA publishing venture for the liberal arts. TBI Communications have been appointed marketing consultants on the project.

I assisted by analysing and reporting on survey findings on behalf of TBI. Reports (which are in the public domain) can be reviewed here and here.
